We have a team of highly experienced and skilled Respiratory Care Practitioners with Adult, Pediatric, 
and Neonatal acute-care experience. 
We have chosen to specialize in home mechanical ventilation and the associated equipment and supplies because of the great need to have highly specialized personnel providing these services in the home setting.

A New Start HME representative works with you throughout the entire discharge process.

Clinical Education Program
Family members and caregivers receive complete and thorough training both in the hospital and at home.

Home Evaluation
We perform a home evaluation to ensure adequate space, sufficient and safe electrical outlets, fire alarms, and emergency plan.

Follow Up
We visit as often as needed until the patient, family, and caregivers are comfortable.

A New Start HME representative works with you throughout the discharge process.

Education & Training Program
We ensure that primary caregivers are fully and adequately trained before patients go home.

On the Day of Discharge
We are at your home on the day of discharge and remain until you are comfortable.


Support 
We have a respiratory Care Practitioner on-call, 365-days a year.


Response Time
We are at your home, if necessary, within two hours of your call.
Discharge Process At A Glance
Transition
Through a specified New Start HME representative, we interact with the Case Manager/Discharge Coordinator to plan the patient discharge in a safe and timely manner.

Equipment and Supplies
We deliver, set up, maintain, and repair all equipment. We coordinate supplies for our ventilator patients through relationships with pharmacy suppliers.

Training
We begin training in the acute care setting, continue training in the home, and provide written instructions appropriate to the equipment provided.

24-hour Support
We provide a Respiratory Care Practitioner who takes your calls 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to troubleshoot your problems, and provide solutions over the phone or via home visits within two hours.

New Start Hme Medical Equipment's respiratory care practitioners are very familiar with all the tracheostomy tubes, inner cannulas, speaking valves, adaptors, suction catheters etc that are associated with caring for a ventilator-dependent patient.

We also work with ENT physicians to develop custom tracheostomy tubes for our patients' health and wellbeing. 

We provide live, On-Call respiratory Care Practitioners 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
